Lindsey: For the gradation project, for this project, [Um hm], um, where this guy is sticking out.

Kevin: Okay.

Lindsey: For this one, I literally cut out a strip that was going to be my final strip, [Okay] it may have even been this one, I don’t know.

Kevin: Okay.

Lindsey: Um, cut out a strip, and I would just, it had to go straight down the page, we just had to, and that was inking it in, [Um hm] so I would take the strip and I would just move it down the page. Because I had to ink in, like, fifty rows that looked like this. [Um hm] So for that, I had it in my hand and I would move it down the page.

So you can see, [Um hm] I’ve experimented with all these different shapes.

Kevin: Okay.

Lindsey: And then here, I felt like this part wasn’t enough, so I extended it so that I could see, you know, what the final one [Um hm] would look like. That one actually looks really cool.

Kevin: Okay

// [Video cut]

Lindsey: So you can tell where I’ve cut strips of paper and folded them back.

// [Video cut]

So, I had to come up with a way to make your eye move in a direction that was, sort of, you know, you’re not aware that your eye is doing this, [um hm] but I’m still sort of leading you through it.

// [Video cut]

Lindsey: I would have started this in class the day that he assigned it, and I would have done this kind of crap. [okay] You know, like which relationships am I going to show, whatever. [okay]

// [Video cut]

Lindsey: And then I would have something, like this, this was actually on my wall.

// [Video cut]

Lindsey: These would have probably been just on the table. [okay] Um, because this was very early in the semester. This was one of the final projects, the only one he gave me an A on. [um hm] And this, these colors, I had up on the wall, I had them up on my bathroom mirror.
