Set to the same bass guitar music as the opening trailer, this video features largely black-and-white images fading into and out of one another, overlapping, juxtaposed in time: Jonathan and Jackie taking a picture of themselves in a mirror and then Jonathan turning in a circle, video recording. Underneath these images moves a series of chalk circles on a pavement, video recorded so that the small circles pass one another as someone holding the recorder moves down the sidewalk. Then the word hope, in red script, appears as Jonathan finishes turning. The overlapping images fade into another of circles enclosing crosses or the letter “X”, chalked on pavement—again recorded so that they pass along as though someone is recording them walking down the sidewalk. Jackie and Jonathan reappear, holding their phones up and taking pictures of themselves in the mirror, while the word communication, stamped into concrete, fades in. A previous short video clip appears, used in the first trailer, of Jackie in the mirror and then the camera circling to see Jackie face to face in a crowded hall, which fades into a graffiti image in blue of a young, long-haired woman smoking, then of a blue telephone booth, and then the word power stamped in concrete, followed by the image of a brick wall with an older bearded white man’s face in graffiti on it, the word speak above his head and the word listen below it. This image faces into a torn photograph of a pair of woman’s eyes. The word TECHNE appears in the lower right-hand corner before the video ends.
