In closing, Yusuf expresses a desire to finish college and to “make a difference not only here in America, but also back home….” He observes,

If I can, like I say, at least five people, if I can change their mind or their ideas, if I can do that? Then I can die freely, you know? Because I did something; I changed a couple of peoples’ view to something. So, that’s what…literacy’s about…this is what we learn, this is what, you know, the whole learning is about. The beauty of education is to share, you know?

Closing with a persuasive rhetorical appeal that artfully combines elements of pathos and ethos, Yusuf notes,

History sometimes repeat itself, you know? All this genocide and everything; it will repeat itself. Let’s not ignore it, you know, what other countries going through….Let’s not do that. Let's focus on every country, even if we cannot help.
